Procrastination

And so you have set lots of goals and you feel good about your AmWell business. You understand that MASSIVE ACTION = MASSIVE RESULTS..

And yet, procrastination sets in and before you know it, the month has already ended and nothing much has been done!:S

So what are some good ways of overcoming procrastination?
  1. Break your goals down into do-able daily actions.
For example, say you will like have a 500USD cheque this month. You can work backwards and calculate how much sales you might need to achieve and from which leg. Then you need to calculate where the sales can possibly come from...do you get it by doing demos and closing more sales? Can you do so by motivating someone to set their goal and help them achieve it? If you need to do demos, how many demos a day do you need to do? If you break them up into daily action targets, your goal will start to look more managable :)
  2. Write a daily TO DO list and tick them off
When you write a to do list, you will be focused on your goal throughout the day as you tick them off your list. The ticking off of completed targets will also motivate you to continue to focus and commit to your goal.
  3. Writing your goals daily
Writing your goals daily is a good way to remind yourself and your subconscious mind (which is many times more powerful than your conscious mind) about what is it you want in life and help you focus on achieving your goal. Studies have shown that people who write their goals daily have a higher chance of achieving their goals.
  4. The "WHY" factor
Find out the WHYs behind why you want to achieve your goal and write them down. If you do not achieve your goal, what sort of unhappiness do you have to experience, if you do achieve them, what sort of happiness can you enjoy. Like legs supporting a table, the more reasons you have, the more powerful this motivation will be and the less you will procrastinate. Read these reasons when you feel procrastination setting in...
  5. Talk about your goal frequently with your good friends/leaders and get them to remind you
Sometimes, a good kick on our butts from our good friends is all that is needed for us to get out of limbo and start moving. Attend all groupings, leadership calls, webinars where you can feed of the high impact energy of the trainers and  find new information and reasons to stay motivated!
